General Description
These two hitching posts are located in the sidewalk in front of Buildings 4 and 5. They appear to be contemporaneous with the adjacent buildings. Prior to the second decade of the twentieth century, much of the travel inside the Home was by horse, and these are the only known surviving objects related to equine travel in the Home's grounds.
