Description
General Description
This masonry building was constructed as part of the expansion of the industrial and mechanical buildings and structures in the Service Area along the eastern edge of the property parallel to North Capitol Street. Constructed during the 1953 Master Plan phase, this utilitarian building illustrates the architecture of the Modern Movement, and lacks applied stylistic detailing. The one-story brick-clad building has a flat roof, industrial window openings, single-leaf entry openings, and a garage door opening. It was constructed outside the period of significance and, therefore, has been recommended as non-contributing.
